Types of loans
Conventional Loan: If you have enough money to put down (generally 10 to 20 percent), then a conventional loan is a great option.
FHA Loans: A federal government-backed loan is ideal if you are unable to put a large down payment down or don’t have great credit.
VA Loan: No down payment is required, but you must be a veteran to qualify.
Construction Financing Loan: These loans are specifically used for building your own home. It generally works as a short-term (six to 12 months), followed by a conversion into a permanent long-term loan/mortgage
Bridge Loan: Short-term loans designed to get you through a time squeeze. It may also be beneficial for custom-built homes
